11th October 2024 saw SRFC’s Chris Foss flying Les Crane’s lovely 71” Giles Gemini again, the model having had a few tweaks since its maiden flight. Flaps were tried on this flight and work well with no pitch change. Landing was much better, flaps helping to slow the model down nicely, only marred by a noseover due to grass clippings on the strip. The plane toppled politely back onto its wheels with no damage other than one prop.All that now remains is for Les to fly it — watch this space!
