We're now on to the underrated 20/20 World Tour that saw the recording of the sadly overproduced 'Live at Wembley' album, however a week earlier in Newcastle an unknown fan recorded this gig, and what a record this audio is - a record of Meat Loaf and The Neverland Express at their hight, with incredible vocals, fantastic playing from Bob Kulick and Alan Merrill as we hear for the first time the power of their dual playing that would dominate the sound of the band until 1989.
In terms of quality, the original bootleg was muddy and it still is here to some extent but I've tried my best to make the audio sound slightly better and I've corrected the speed and pitch so hopefully this recording is now more accurate to the sound of the actual show - and what a show it is, with probably the best version of 'Burning Down' (one of 3 I think), and a very fun 22 minute version of 'Paradise'. I'm honestly not sure what else to say but I hope you enjoy - next up will be Sheffield 1987 (the audience audio recording, not the video...) and then the Wembley outtakes, Birmingham, and I think that's it since Dusseldorf and Schaafheim are already on here...
Never stop rockin', etc. - just turn it up real loud and enjoy, alright?!
