This beautiful tune was originally composed by Stanley Myers for a film called 'The Deer Hunter". Jazz singer Cleo Laine later wrote words to the tune and recorded it with famed classical guitarist, John Williams. This arrangement by Christopher Keane exploits the special sonorities of the viol consort and appears on The Marais Project's CD, Lady Sings the Viol. Nicole Thomson, vocals, with the Seaven Teares consort: Cathy Upex, treble viol; Shaun Ng, tenor viol; Imogen Granwal and Jennifer Eriksson, bass viol.
