Meet Professor Nicolas Menicucci, program manager of the Continuous-Variable Quantum Technology Program (CV) at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technologies (CQC2T).
Based in the School of Science at RMIT University, the program aims to develop quantum computers and other quantum technology based on the continuous-variable systems, primary in optics. To be fault tolerant, the CV Program approaches to quantum computing is used with discretely- encoded quantum information.
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technologies (CQC2T)
is one of the world's largest teams undertaking fundamental research to create a universal quantum computing ecosystem. The CQC2T team is based across Australia at seven university nodes; UNSW Sydney, University of Melbourne, Griffith University, University of Queensland, RMIT and University of Technology Sydney.
