2025 BMW M235 Gran Coupe FULL Review /// The Baby M Car Just Got Better

BMW loaned us this “next generation” F74 2-Series GranCoupe in the spicy M235 (sans-i) form. Overall, it surprised us with sharp handling, impressive mechanical grip, a premium interior, and bold styling. But at an as tested $59,175 ($49,500 starting), some other BMW models come other mind that we may opt for instead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Highs:
+The updated driving dynamics and power boost are noticeable. BMW has worked some magic to give this transverse platform a bit of an oversteer feel through corners.
+The interior is very premium for the class, easy to use, and oozes with tech.
+Styling is subjective but we think it looks SHARP in person!

Lows:
-The new DCT transmission is lurchy at low speeds
-The rear seats are incredibly tiny. I am 6ft tall and cannot fit.
-No iDrive controller :(

#ACNCarScore - 8/10 - The new 2er GranCoupe drives better than ever, and is a more compelling overall package than before. Though while still the “cheapest” BMW, pricing isn’t too far off a proper rear drive bimmer.
