Character actor Murray Hamilton singing and kissing!
Barnaby Jones "Fatal Flight" aired December 9, 1973, his usual annoyed man at a desk (but not smoking!)
Something for the Boys, 1944 color musical, uncredited but here he is eating, smiling, and singing! "I gotta shoes, I gotta shoes" to walk all over God's heaven. This was Murray's third and last Hollywood big screen appearance of the 1940s, after which he returned exclusively to the stage until the end of the decade.
Drat! Had to remove his scene from Bright Victory, as a blind soldier taking his shirt off and telling the guys about kissing his date. It was my segue to the next clip where we see him kissing (rare among his performances). Alas!
13 Frightened Girls, actually (stage) kissing and in color, in this oddity in the William Castle collection-- as it's not a scary film like Castle's others; 1963 release; sorry for the poorly cut ending. I had to go back and chop off the last clip (see below).
Sadly, I had to REMOVE THIS ONE due to a copyright warning: Ellery Queen "The Adventure of the Chinese Dog" aired September 25, 1975. Murray comes out of the bushes! This would have been shot, presumably, after "Jaws" and my favorite, "The Drowning Pool." I will put screencaps on the blog in a future post.
I added two short clips from The Brotherhood, 1968 film (shot in Sept '67). Murray’s line at the end sums up my luck with sharing snippets of his work in this compilation. Twice I had to go back in and remove things. Hopefully third time's a charm.
