Easter Weekend | High traffic volumes recorded on major routes in Gauteng

Toll gates across Gauteng have seen high volumes of vehicles leaving the province as thousands of South Africans head to various destinations for religious observances and family gatherings during the Easter long weekend.

To ensure road safety, Gauteng Traffic Police, together with the SAPS, have been conducting roadblocks on major routes.

These are meant to curb speeding, drinking and driving, as well as reckless and negligent driving.
