One of the last recordings by the super group put together by George Harrison in the Late 80s. As is well known, the other members were Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne.
Their 1988 album, “Traveling Wilburys – Vol 1” reached #3 on the US album chart (UK, #16, Australia, #1) and the singles drawn from it, “Handle With Care” and “End Of The Line” charted well throughout the world too. The follow up album, TW – Vol 3, debuted in 1990. “Runaway” was recorded at that time but not released world wide until a CD reissue of the album came in 2007.
The group folded after the second album. Jeff and Bob are still with us but we have lost Roy Orbison (1988), George Harrison (2001) and Tom Petty (2017).
