Oath-taking of the Newly Promoted Generals and Flag Officers of the AFP and the Graduates of FPCTI

“Your promotion reflects the nation’s confidence in your integrity and professionalism, your dedication to duty. The stars you bear shine more brightly today – as constant reminders of your obligations to protect our sovereignty, to uphold national security, and safeguard the freedoms of every Filipino,” stated President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. after administering the oath of office to the newly promoted Generals and Flag Officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the graduates of Foreign Pre-Commissioned Training Institutions (FPCTI) at the Ceremonial Hall in Malacañan Palace.

In his keynote message, the President reminded the 42 oath-takers that their promotion is a strong affirmation of a sacred trust: respect for the Constitution, service to the Filipino people and loyalty to the Republic.

“As you open another chapter, you also accept greater responsibility to lead with wisdom, restraint, and moral clarity,” he emphasized.

He reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to continuously modernize the AFP to ensure it remains a model of discipline, competence and service. This includes engaging with international partners through training programs, joint exercises and defense partnerships to strengthen the nation’s readiness in facing current and emergent security challenges.

“We have approved the increase of the Base Pay of military and uniformed personnel. We also increased this year the daily subsistence allowance of all military and uniformed personnel to 350 pesos,” he added.

The Commander-in-Chief urged the newly promoted AFP Generals and Flag Officers to wear the stars on their shoulders with integrity, serve with humility and fight for the Republic with honor and courage. He also recognized the families for their patience, sacrifices and constant support.

“Just as family lies at the heart of every single Filipino home, so too are you at the heart of our nation’s service. So together, let us continue to serve the Filipino people, protect our sovereignty, and help build a stronger, more secure Bagong Pilipinas,” ended President Marcos Jr. in his message.
