December is a wild month for the stock market! Already the month has gone red, but that is not usually the case. We do see an uptick in buying as the month progresses. There is also generally good buying pressure in December, and it is one of the best months of the year historically. When the first trading day of the month has fallen by 0.5% or more, we also generally amazing buying pressure and a great close on the month as a whole. The Federal Reserve just quietly pumped $13.5 billion into banks, the second-largest liquidity injection since Covid. Looking at the market now, $SPY is all over the place so far in December.
