Hey guys! This months tutorial is going to be an environment project based tutorial series. This month will include Part 1 & 2 our of 4 Total. The first part of the tutorial will cover some layout of our assets, getting some basic lighting and materials going and initial scattering using the new Copy and Align and CopySOPs found in Houdini 18.5.
In part 2 I will continue scattering different assets, and go over how we can paint in attributes to control our scatter, blend our materials, and use this attribute data with Redshift UserData nodes to adjust our shaders roughness and other properties. In part 3 for next months tutorial I will continue where we left and I will be introducing the Ripple Solver to make an interesting abstract shape. I will then cover in part 4 rendering to disk for Altus Command-Line temporal denoising of our animation and final color correction in Davinci Resolve.
This should be a fun project based 4 part tutorial series covering a variety of techniques and methods. Thank you for all the support on Patreon!
