We love Sydnie Christmas! Ever since she came to the world's attention on BGT in 2024, she has crept into the hearts of millions around the world. I certainly am one fan who eagerly anticipates what she does next.
So, up popped this video a few days ago, and I was excited to do a blind reaction of something NEW from Sydnie.... Just to discover that this is a cover of a classic from the 1930's. Which is fine - it is a beautiful song. However, I was hoping she wrote/had something written that was new and fresh...
I really hope Sydnie continues to rise in influence and success, but do believe she has to carve out a unique lane for herself. Covers of old song are okay, but try to give us something we haven't seen or hear before, utilising all the beautiful gifts that you have, Sydnie!
