Rose Ayling-Ellis: Old Hands New Tricks is a two-part documentary with a simple mission, teach the residence of Hughenden Gardens Village retirement home British Sign Language (BSL).
We sat down with Executive Producer, Teresa Watkins; Series Producer, Camilla Arnold and Production Manager, Dominique Haidar to discuss the epidemic that is hearing loss; the effect Rose had on the residence Hughenden Gardens Village; and their collective hope for the future of BSL programming in mainstream broadcasting.
