Dear students in today’s topic we will learn about Sentence and its Kinds with examples and explanation in Sindhi Language
What is a Sentence?
A group of words which makes complete sense is called a sentence.
Example: - I speak English.
They Play football.
He drives the car.
Kinds of sentences
1) Assertive / Declarative sentences
A sentence that makes a statement or assertion is called
declarative or assertive sentence.
Example: - Amjad watches Television.
Sunny likes fishing.
There are two types of Assertive sentences.
2) Interrogative Sentences
A sentence that asks a question is called an interrogative sentence.
It ends with a question mark “?”
Example: - What is your name?
Where do you live?
3) Imperative sentence
A sentence that express a command or request is called an imperative sentence.
It ends with a full stop.
Example: - Be quiet.
Please, give me a glass of water.
May God Bless you.
4) Exclamatory Sentence
A sentence that expresses strong feeling is called an exclamatory sentence. It ends with an exclamation mark. “!”
Example: - How cold the night is!
What a beautiful bird it is!
