It seems there is a common failure among the Maytag Quiet Series with the control panel, getting a replacement online will cost some $140 and a new unit can cost $299 (in TX 2016) so price seem out of range. This repair took some 30 minutes with no associated cost. Even if the unit works for just a year I had delayed buying a new one as getting a replacement is out of the picture.
I am not an electrician and this video is for entertainment only. This is not a How-To or DIY (Do It Yourself) video, this is how I did it. This is dangerous and should not be attempted by untrained personnel, electrical hazard can lead to death.
