Allergens occur naturally in the home. They can irritate the nose, throat and lungs and enter the body by inhalation and ingestion through soil and dust. That’s why it’s important to keep a clean home, especially if your child has asthma. Nemours offers helpful tips to reduce common indoor allergens such as dirt, dust mites, mold, cockroaches and lead (hint: toss your feather duster) and keep your child’s asthma symptoms under control.
