Amateur Historian reacts and breaks down the Warsaw Uprising as depicted in the Polish war movie Warsaw 44 (Miasto 44). In August 1944, the Polish Home Army launched an uprising in order for the Soviets to liberate the city faster. However, the Red Army did not move beyond the Vistula. Completely encircled, this would be the start of weeks of hell for Warsaw and the Polish fighters.
