Kamov Ka-32 Heliswiss Startup, Take-Off & Landing

The impressive heavy-lift helicopter Kamov KA-32 A12 (HB-XKE) of Heliswiss conducted a test flight at Heliport Bern. After the shutdown the kind pilot gave us a great photo opportunity and therefore switched all lights on to present the helicopter from its best side. Listen to the great engine sound!

The Kamov Ka-32 is a high performance heavy-lift helicopter. The Russian / Soviet-made helicopter is capable of transporting 5 tons of external and 3,7 tons of internal loads. Maximum takeoff weight is 12.600 kg.

The Kamov Ka-32 helicopter is equipped with two powerful turboshaft engines that power two coaxial contra-rotating, three-blade main rotors. The rotors spin in opposite directions and so neutralize torque effects. This eliminates the need for a tail rotor.

Der Kamov KA-32 A12 (HB-XKE) von der Heliswiss bringt einen immer wieder zum Staunen. Sanft hob der tonnenschwere Koloss in Belp ab und schwebte wie durch die Lüfte. Nach der Landung wurde der Helikopter wortwörtlich ins beste Licht gerückt. Der nette Pilot bot uns nämlich eine einmalige Fotogelegenheit und schaltete sämtliche Lichter am Kamov ein.

Der Kamov Ka-32 gilt als leistungsfähigster Schwerlasthubschrauber mit einem Hebevermögen von bis zu 5 Tonnen. Maximales Startgewicht ist 12.600 kg.

Der in Russland hergestellte Helikopter ist mit zwei leistungsstarken Turbinen ausgestattet, die zwei gegenläufig drehende Koaxialrotoren antreiben. Die Drehmomente werden so gegenseitig aufgehoben, weshalb auf den Heckrotor verzichtet werden kann.
