TURNING A PAINTING INTO SOAP?!? Making "Beach Stroll under the Moon" landscape - 20 colors! 4 days!

Is any experience more magical than a midnight stroll along the beach? Cool sand slips between your toes, the gentle ocean waves lap warm water against the shore, a full moon glows in the pitch dark sky and casts its reflection on the surface of the sea, while silhouettes of palm trees in the distance can barely be made out as they dance in the salty breeze.

This soap design was my entry for April’s Soap Challenge Club made with the polka dot technique. I wanted to make things more complicated for myself since I thought a plain polka dot pattern would be boring, but some of my ideas for the layout of the dots wouldn’t have fit into the requirements of a symmetrical layout and so I decided to make up for it in my design with the size of my straws (3 mm each) and the quantity of my polka dots (2,268 total, while having them come together as a beautiful landscape scene inspired by a painting by Marionette Taboniar that I found online. This was scented with a sweet and tangy pink grapefruit fragrance, which is always a classic!

The design was one of the more complicated ones that I’ve made and was extremely time consuming to make, so this is a remaining a limited edition batch which I will keep together as a set.
