In this Video form Steven Poacher's excellent Coaching Clinic in Newry on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, Marty Clarke (one of the coaches on the day) runs two Tackling activities here.
In the first it's a simple case of four outside players and one inside. Run for 30/45 seconds for each player in the centre. The outside 4 are passing around from one to the other while the inside player aims to get a hand on the ball and put it out of play.
NB for the 4 players that they have their extra ball ready to go in the event that the central player puts them out.
Also, coach could modify so that ball can't be passed over head of inside player or any such variation.
PROGRESSION: In the second activity Stevie adds to extra players, makes the passing area bigger and puts two players in the middle.
