⭐ Siglent SDG7102A 1GHz Arbitrary Function/Waveform Generator Review part 3 of 3 0021

In this the part of my Siglent SDG7102A 1Ghz Arbitrary Waveform Generator beta unit review I demonstrate swept frequency mode, open the unit up and show you the inside, show thermal images of the unit in operation, show the the sine wave output is free of harmonic distortion down to -80 dBc at 0 dBm output, and that the spurious output is below -80 dBc for a 0 dBm output. At the end I go over what is good and unique about SDG7102A, go over the issues with the beta unit, and make suggestions for future firmware updates and suggest accessories.

In the section where I show the hardware I think I misidentified the CPU. I believe the large chip with the air ducting is the main FPGA and the smaller chip on the daughter board is most likely the CPU.

This beta unit was sent to me for 3 weeks for evaluation by Siglent Technologies North America. The SDG7102A beta unit does many things well, but it has issues. Siglent has promised to send me an updated unit once they address the issues I show in this set of reviews.
