The Wildcards - "Light On" (The Bar Room Sessions)

Ashley Gearing and Andrea Young are no strangers to Nashville's music scene. Both have numerous accolades to their names; working with some of the biggest and baddest in the business. The girls bonded while touring internationally with the critically acclaimed Nashville band, Farewell Angelina.

The two found that their chemistry and energy needed its own stage. Having always been identified as the “wildcards,” of any project they were involved in, the band was born. Each has had individual successes in their extensive careers but have learned they are better together; musically, creatively & spiritually.

This new project exposes Ashley Gearing's powerhouse vocals and rhythmic acoustic guitar alongside Andrea Young's ferocious fiddle playing & angelic voice. Together they create one voice in harmony.

Fresh off of the road from opening for such artists as Mitchell Tenpenny, Walker Hayes, & Joe Nichols, The Wildcards are thrilled to release "Light On," a song that encourages and heals, just in time for the holiday season.

“The pandemic reminded us how important human connection was. It is something we will never take for granted again. " Young says.

Ashley adds, “All the time, but especially now, it is important for us as humans to love and look out for each other. This song is about paying it forward... even when you are in the trenches.”
