Buying a new car, doing too much research and overcoming obstacles due to he said she said mentality

When buying a new car it's advisable to do some research
What are the common faults and solutions
Over the last few years most makes and models have developed certain issues, some are worse than others and some are just annoying

For instance, I recently bought a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport
One common issue with these is the turbo intercooler hoses splitting causing the car to go into limp mode and have faults in the electrical system
The solution for this is to replace the original rubber hoses with silicon hoses.
I found out about this and other issues through a facebook group for owners of the Pajero Sport...
It's a great group full of information.

The problem is it can be overwhelming and stressful if you overthink and don't allow yourself to actually enjoy the experience of test driving, buying and driving the vehicle.

You may have issues, you may not
Not every vehicle has issues but as long as you go into it knowing what can happen you can plan to overcome any issues that may arise
Don't expect it but be prepared for what may happen.

What I have done due to my knowledge about the hose issue is I have purchased the replacement silicon hoses and will be getting them fitted asap and will keep the original ones as spares,
This is the attitude that prevention is better than a cure!
