February 2022 saw Storm Eunice hit the United Kingdom. On the South East Coast, wind speed reached 90MPH. The Port of Dover was shut for all shipping for most of the day, reopening early afternoon with the DFDS cross channel ferry Delft Seaways being the first ship to attempt to leave the port for Dunkirk with assistance from the tugs DHB Dauntless and DHB Doughty.
