Batman is the alter ego of Bruce Wayne, a wealthy American playboy philanthropist. After witnessing the murder of his parents as a child, Bruce Wayne vowed to avenge their deaths by fighting crime. He trained himself physically and mentally and adopted the persona of Batman to protect Gotham City from criminals.

Batman is a master detective and martial artist. He uses his wealth to fund his crime-fighting activities and has access to a wide range of advanced technology. Batman has no superpowers, but he is one of the most skilled and resourceful superheroes in the DC Universe. He is also a member of the Justice League.
