To mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence 2018, FORWARD is launching a series of deeply insightful dialogues on Black women’s perceptions of Sexual Harassment in UK Universities. In line with this year’s global theme, #HearMeToo, which seeks to amplify the voices of marginalised groups, FORWARD and its partners: Childdren's Dignity Forum (Tanzania), Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA) and Sub-Saharan Advisory Panel (SSAP) under the TuWezeshe Akina Dada Young Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Movement, are: releasing a policy brief, hosting ground-shaking panel events and interactive social media campaigns aimed at raising awareness and ending sexual violence in higher learning institutions. TuWezeshe Akina Dada is FORWARD’s flagship young women’s leadership programme supported by Comic Relief and implemented in the UK and Africa.

FORWARD is the leading African-Diaspora organisation working on female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage and maternal health both in the UK, Europe and in Africa. We work for the day when African girls and women live in dignity, are healthy, have choices and enjoy equal rights free from fear of violence.
