New CNCDudez Production CNC Coil Winder MK1-Winding a Guitar Pickup Coil.

We will now start to show different coils that can be wound with the CNCDudez Production CNC Coil Winder MK1

Here is a smaller version of the Coil Winders we made, where the customer wanted just to wind Guitar Pickup Coils and a smaller unit fitted nicely onto his bench.

The max speed now we have added a gearbox to the motor is 2000 RPM and I wanted to see if I could wind this small AWG44 wire, which is 0.002 inch = 0.0508 millimetres of guitar wire at top speeds.
With ramping moves turned on and using the basic wizard in the software, it worked out well doing 3.5 minutes to do 6521 turns.

Inside diameter of the bobbin was 55mm x 10mm and 10mm wide.
Wire was 8.75 ohms per meter and the software calculated that 6521 windings and used 852.171 meters of wire. It calculated the the finished resistance of the coil should measure approx 7.45K
Placing a resistance meter across it shows 7.47K so a very good result :)
