Today, I'm making simple and delicious cookies in a frying pan. No oven is necessary! So easy, so good!
These cookies are fluffy and soft, and they stay that way for a long time.
INGREDIENTS: (Yields 30 about 15-gram cookies)
• 50 g softened Butter
• 60 g Sugar, or more if you prefer it sweeter
• 1 Egg at room temperature
• 100 g Sour Cream
• About 250 g all-purpose Flour
• 1 teaspoon Baking powder
• 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
• A pinch of Salt
METHOD:
• Mix the softened butter, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, room-temperature egg, and sour cream together until smooth.
• Add the flour in two stages. First, mix it in with a whisk. Then, switch to a spatula.
Do not knead. Mix until the flour is no longer visible.
• The consistency of the dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
• Sprinkle the dough with oil and grease your hands to prevent the dough from sticking.
• Roll the dough into balls about the size of a walnut, weighing around 15 grams each.
• Do NOT grease the pan with oil. Place the dough balls in a dry, preheated frying pan.
• Use low or medium-low heat.
• Cook with the lid closed on both sides until golden brown.
IMPOTANT TIPS:
• Use an eggs that are at room temperature. Using an eggs straight from the refrigerator will cause the softened butter to harden, resulting in an uneven mixture texture.
• The amount of flour needed may vary slightly. Add it gradually while focusing on the consistency. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky but not runny. Do not add too much flour.
• Don't mix the dough for too long.
• Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the cookies and the type of stove used.
• To keep the cookies soft, store them in an airtight container for up to two days. They will last longer in an open container but will dry out; however, they will still taste good.
