How to repair Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne instrument clusters with dim or blank display

👨‍🔧 This video shows how to fix the instrument panels of Porsche Cayenne Mk1 (955 / 957) and VW Touareg Mk1 (7L) with not working middle LCD screen (the display could be very dark or dim, or even get completely blank). This backlighting issue of the colour display of Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg dashboard is caused by some faulty components on the main board, in detail: 1 transformer, 2 inductors and 3 transistors. This tutorial shows how to replace those components and fix the LCD lighting problem.
