Six rafts from OARS Whitewater Rafting head through Zoroaster Rapid, mile 85 on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. During our 16-day, 260-mile journey, river guide Andy usually took the last position of the six rafts. Although he didn't actually need him to do this, one of his responsibilities was to fish out any unintentional swimmers who were unable to get back to their own boats.
