Puppy push-ups (sit, down, stand/up) with noise distractions. Start to use luring, but fade it out as soon as possible. Create behavior/skills with luring, capturing and shaping. Make sure to mark your skills/behavior/cues with the marker word “yes!” Marker word equals what you just did was exactly what we wanted and this is why you are getting the food reinforcement. Practice vegging/relaxation has great value too. The boring stuff is also important. Beginnings of stay cue. Do not force the stay/stationary position. How to help your puppy and what really is socialization.  consent is important for both of us and our pups! Is your training with your pup or at your pup? Pair novelty with fun/play/food/exploration, but always at your pup’s rate of comfort.
