In this session, Ilaria steps into the circle with a topic that seems "small" to her, but in fact turns out to be deeply personal and multilayered: acne on her face. Through a dialogue with psychologists Max and Ellen, she admits that every time she looks in the mirror, she feels discomfort and shame. Recalling when the problem first appeared, she goes back to being 15 — a time of transition to a new school.

As the conversation unfolds, a layer of relational experience is revealed. Ilaria used to be shy and reserved, but had a friend, Serenella — bright, open, affectionate, and easy to connect with. Max and Ellen invite Ilaria to "become" Serenella — to embody her energy physically and emotionally. This unlocks an unexpected resource: she realizes she can be lively, direct, sincere, even a little bold.

One touching moment arises when Ilaria opens up to Xenia — a participant she previously avoided. She shares that she used to see Xenia as distant, but after working together, she sees her as a warm and kind person. This creates a space for mutual recognition — Xenia also admits she tends to keep her distance and realizes, perhaps for the first time, how it might come across to others. A real connection forms between the two — a moment of vulnerability and mutual understanding.

In the second part of the session, the psychologists invite Ilaria to “play” the role of the pimple — to physically embody the part of her that wants to break through and be seen. Through this metaphor, the essence is revealed: a deep desire to be noticed, to connect, to be alive.
