The Methodist missionary John Hunt lived in several villages around Newark and Lincoln before going with his wife, also a local woman, to Fiji in the 1830s. He had great success as a missionary amongst cannibals and translated the Bible into local languages before dying young of dysentery. This video explores the story on both sides of the world.
