Pakistan's first anti-polio vaccination drive for 2016 got underway. Pakistan and Afghanistan are the only two countries where polio is endemic. Extra security is being provided to health workers after attacks during past drives. Pakistan government has created a lot of awareness on polio through local hired women who are trusted.
