浙江杭州西湖风景名胜区，三面云山，中涵碧水，湖面面积为6.5km2。西湖是我国著名的历史文化游览胜地。孤山是西湖中最大的岛屿，景区文物荟萃，闻名遐迩。
平湖秋月，是“西湖十景”之一，位于孤山景区的东北端。这里有清康熙三十八年（1699年）御题“平湖秋月”石碑，和同期建造的御书楼。该景观亭台楼阁环水而筑，高阁凌波，平台宽广，曲桥蜿蜒，颇具临湖水院的园林意趣。该景址是秋夜里赏月的最佳位置。

The West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is surrounded by mountains on three sides and blue water in the middle, with a lake area of 6.5km2. West Lake is a famous historical and cultural tourist destination in China. The Lonely Mountain is the largest island in West Lake, with a rich collection of cultural relics in the scenic area, renowned far and wide.
Pinghu Autumn Moon is one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of West Lake", located at the northeast end of the Lonely Mountain. Here is a stone tablet inscribed with the imperial inscription " Pinghu Autumn Moon" in the 38th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1699), as well as the Imperial Library built during the same period. The landscape features surrounded by water, giving it a garden like atmosphere of a lake water courtyard. This scenic spot is the best place to admire the moon on an autumn night.
Near the Pinghu Autumn Moon, there are also Qing Dynasty building "Moon Wave Pavilion", the Republic of China villa building "Yiyun Jilu" (Mingjian Building), and the Zhejiang West Lake Art Museum (formerly the National Academy of Art).
