Make a red carpet dress with me inspired by the upcoming movie, Babylon! ❤️ I got a chance to interview the costume designer for the film, Mary Zophres about her design process (see last youtube video for the full interview!) and used her process as inspiration for this dress design!
I loved the iconic red look Margot Robbie’s character wears and wanted to make my own red look! I studied vogue covers from the 1920s to find elements I wanted to incorporate into my dress. Something that stood out to me what red neck ties so I knew I wanted to play with that idea! I got to draping and here is the final design! Go see #BabylonMovie in theaters starting this Thursday.
I wore this dress to the Babylon global premier and that movie was great, definitely an incredible film to see!
