Splatoon 3: Remembering how to play Tower Control [10(2)-5, Carbon Roller Deco]

I know how to play Tower Control, and the Carbon Roller. But sometimes, between sessions, some rust sets in. The first hint that this has happened is when I throw my first Burst Bomb, expecting it to be a Chicken. The next could be when I rush straight towards danger without much cover or ink, but I tend to do that too much anyway. I do a bit better on my return, when getting flanked I manage to move back and splat the attacker, before I panic and rush the Tower head-on. I shouldn't be doing that.

The Tower is still coming as I return, this time from a more oblique angle, and with some nice moves we manage to wipeout the other team. Now's our chance. I think gaining some turf will help. It will definitely help me. I run a bit ahead of the others, although a Tri-zooka gives me some courage, not that I hit anything with it, and the turf I grab does help, getting me one splat but also running me in to the bucket.

The Tower is moving forwards, which is good, and I super-jump behind it, just as my squidmates take the lead. Nice! I sneak up, failing to get one splat, accidentally getting another, and maybe forcing the Splattershot Pro to hide in their B-bomb pose. I try to stay hidden, which I don't think I achieve, and they get away, my tension-filled flicks finally hitting the bucket above, but at the cost of a splatting.

The Tower is still moving. A super-jump seems a bit too risky, so I take the slow route. That lets me hide, and pounce on the Tower, which is empty. Never mind, I hop on, turning it around, and off again, to splat the Splattershot Pro, before finding the Tower again. A Tri-zooka doesn't do much, so I move up to get close and personal, bagging two more splats before being sent back to base. It's enough to keep the Tower a little safer, though.

I risk a super-jump to the Tower, cowardly backing off immediately, and regretting the decision almost as quickly, as my squidmate sticking to it trundles on to the goal. Woomy!
