Welcome back to Monday Gun Day!
Today Miles takes the brand new Springfield Hellcat .380 to the range, and spoiler: it shoots way better than we expected.
This is our first Monday Gun Day running a .380 micro-carry gun, and we put it through our usual lineup of drills:
• Bill Drill
• Bill Drill #2
• 3 Reload 3
• 10-Round “B8” Accuracy Test
We don’t have a holster for it yet, so everything was run off the table. That gives us a raw feel for the recoil, ergonomics, accuracy, and how this thing performs compared to the sea of micro/subcompact carry guns out there.
Initial Impressions:
• Surprisingly soft recoil
• Great group at 7 yards (actually one of the best Monday Gun Day groups we’ve had)
• Not locking back consistently
• Optic cut from factory (huge win)
• Trigger is fine, heavier than ideal
• Ergonomics are better than expected thanks to the extended pinky space on both mags
If you want us to test more of the smaller guns (43 series, 43X builds, etc.), drop your requests in the comments!
Like, share, subscribe — and carry every day.
