Will the OLD Massey Ferguson Backhoe Start & Drive? ~ Is the MF 50H for PARTS or REPAIR?

Should I SCRAP this backhoe?

For the second time, I decided to save another old backhoe... Not sure who got the better deal, but I'll leave that up to you!

The old backhoe in question is a late 1980's to early 1990's Massey Ferguson 50H Backhoe Loader with a 4 cylinder Perkins diesel engine. It's only 2wd, but is has a pretty unique backhoe that is MUCH more common in Europe, but here in the US I haven't seen another one.

The Backhoe actually moves side to side instead of pivoting in the middle, and the outriggers go straight down instead of folding out at an angle... this allows the operator to pull up really close to a building or something else and dig right along the edge. Definitely a useful setup if we can make it WORK!

I saw this on the line like 9 months before this and they were asking WAY more than I wanted to pay, but then one day they lowered the price and, WELL... that's how we ended up HERE!
