One of the products Edesia creates is Plumpy’Nut: a high-energy, therapeutic food. It’s used for the treatment of severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in children 6 months of age and older. SAM is a serious, life-threatening condition — characterized by severe wasting, or thinness — that results from illness, lack of appropriate foods, or other underlying causes.
Each year millions of "miracle packets" leave Edesia’s Rhode Island factory and are delivered into the hands of malnourished children all over the world by humanitarian aid workers working in the hardest-to-reach and most inhospitable places on the planet.
The Stellar Love Charm, depicting the phrase “to the moon and back,” was created for Edesia meaning love, nourish, infinity.
