Family Junket is a collective of some of Chicago's best artists within the RnB, soul, funk, and jazz fusion idioms. The band operates with a sense of comfort and finesse that is clearly a result of their love for each other and their gratitude for the opportunity to share space together. These videos are a part of an ongoing series highlighting independent/DIY artists performing live music, mostly in and around Chicago. My goal with this series is to document these performances, to help smaller artists find new ears, and to help people in our community (and abroad) find cool new bands. I hope this will make the Chicago "scene" a more connected, supportive, boundless, and long-lasting community.
