On May 7, 1915, the RMS Lusitania was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-20 off the southern coast of Ireland. The massive British ocean liner went down in eighteen minutes. 1,198 people died, including 128 Americans and nearly a hundred children.
But the torpedo alone didn't sink the ship. A second explosion, far more powerful than the first, tore through the Lusitania from inside her own hull. For over a century, the British government insisted this internal blast was a boiler explosion or ignited coal dust. Nothing more.
When an advanced underwater drone descended to the wreck recently and went inside the deteriorating hull, the cameras captured something governments had worked for decades to conceal. Clear evidence of what really caused that second explosion. What the footage revealed challenges the official narrative and proves that 1,198 people died carrying cargo they never knew was aboard.
