The Leica 100-400 (200-800 mm equiv.) lens is one of the best and most affordable options for wildlife photography offered by the M43 system. I have had this lens for some years but I was always disappointed that it would not accommodate a teleconverter. A year ago the Mark ii version came out which was already prepared for a TC. I bought the new version but to my dismay the Pana 1.4 TC has disappeared from the market and some users advised against the 2x Pana TC. By the way, neither of these were available in the shop where I bought the lens in Hungary. However, they had an Oly 2x TC. I did not know if the Oly would be compatible with the Pana body (G9ii) and lens, especially for the AF, and I was also not sure about the quality of the 2x TC. I tried it out in the shop and the test photos were promising. So I bought it and since then my results are absolutely satisfactory. This video is about the first serious test, when I compared the old lens using an OM1 body and the new set on the G9ii. At the end of the video I arranged a small gallery of wildlife pictures made with the TC and I hope the results will be convincing!
