Rio Grande del Norte National Monument is one of the newest additions to New Mexico's extensive list of protected areas. I decided to visit this place to check out what many people refer to as the 'Grand Canyon of New Mexico.'
Today I am going to be taking you on a popular hike down to the Rio Grande River and check out the impressive canyon. I'm also going to take you to one of the most beautiful bridges in the United States called the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge or simply 'High Bridge.' While in the area, I have to try some of the local food as well so we will head to the nearby town of Taos, New Mexico and sample some of the food while admiring the local architecture!
