We are turning the compost that we use to heat our backyard greenhouse. We have both an air and water system routed through the compost pile that pull air from the greenhouse and push air through the compost pile to heat the greenhouse. While we were turning the pile it was around 19 degrees Fahrenheit so there was a frozen crust on the outside of the pile that made it difficult to turn in places. We used our Satoh Bull Mitsubishi 630 Tractor for this job. We also moved our Nissan pickup that was in the way with our tractor. We then went back to turning the compost pile and used the tractor buck to carry water and woodchips over to the pile.
