BMW 8 Series 2019 - Which? first drive review

The BMW 8 Series replaces the 6 Series as the largest coupe in BMW's model line-up. In this first drive review we try out the brand's new flagship model.

Back in the 1990s, the radical 8 Series was a technological tour-de-force and, like that car, this new flagship model is a platform for BMW to showcase its tech, luxury and performance credentials to the full.

PROS:
1) Impeccable build quality
2) Towering performance
3) Well-integrated tech

CONS:
1) Claustrophobic rear seats
2) Small boot aperture
3) Overwhelming amount of configurable drive settings

We'll reserve full judgment until it's been through our lab tests, but on first impressions, the BMW is more than worth consideration over alternatives from Mercedes and Porsche.
