I got bored, so here's a video on K3LA's.
The Nathan Airchime K3LA was first produced in 1977. It is the American version of the older Canadian-tuned K3L. The K3LA is most commonly heard on BNSF's Dash 9's and on Union Pacific's AC44's, but it can be heard just about anywhere else. It's sound is rather bland since it is only a three-chime horn. The musical notes that it was designed to play are D#, F#, and B.
I would have made this a K3L/K3LA video, but I have absolutely ZERO footage of K3L's. I almost always go railfanning on the BNSF, and there are rarely K3L's on BNSF locos. I will make more videos of this type, so stay tuned!
