This is part of my weekly Sunday series of Jazz Hymn arrangements. Today's video is "Wings of A Dove", a jazz treatment of a hymn by Bob Fergusen. The arrangement can be found in the Hal Leonard collection called Jazz Piano Solos in the volume: "Gospel". The arrangements were written by Brent Edstrom.
Again, another hymn I'm not completely familiar with, but a beautiful arrangement to learn. The style is written as a gentle, lyrical swing waltz that adds lovely movement to the song.
