Grasmere Sports iconic guides races all go straight up the very steep hill outside the ground. For the seniors they had to cross the wall and continue to the ridge, go along to the summit before racing back down, deciding how best to cross the gate and onto the show ground.
Once again a few folks discovered the hard way that a short fell race is a lot tougher than it sounds!
