I explain my journey from capturing the progress of my various projects using still photography to starting my YouTube channel. I conclude with my thoughts on getting started on YouTube when I was over 40 years old - actually a bit older!
Long before I started my YouTube channel, I recorded the progress of my projects using still images - initially on film by way of physical prints then later digitally. Eventually, I shared my projects via online Forums and then on my personal web site.
When I replaced my first digital camera with a mirrorless camera capable of recording video, I learned how to document my DIY (Do-It-Yourself) and How-To projects on video, it was just a matter of connecting the dots to producing videos suitable for YouTube.
I conclude by sharing my thoughts on getting started for those over 40 years old and beyond!
